Regina Egetenmeyer has been Professor of Adult Education at the University of Würzburg since 2013. With her focus on international-comparative adult education, she has gained national and international renown. In 2019, she was inducted as a member of the Adult Education Hall of Fame. Further research focuses are (academic) professionalisation, informal learning in company contexts and issues of lifelong learning.
With the establishment of the Adult Education Academy (formerly Winterschool), she has been promoting international networks in adult education and lifelong learning as a link between academic learning and adult education practice worldwide.
She is a member of the ASEM network ‘Professionalisation in Adult Education’, the German Society for Educational Science and the International Society for Comparative Adult Education. In addition to her outstanding international networking, e.g. as visiting professor at the International Institute for Adult and Lifelong Education in Delhi/India, as a member of the board of the Africa Centre at the University of Würzburg and in the Doctoral Course in Education and Psychology at the University of Florence, she is also a member of the board of trustees of DVV International as well as on the advisory board of the journal Erwachsenenbildung.

Professor Leona M. English is one of the leading scholars of adult education internationally. She was co-editor of the journal Adult Education Quarterly and president of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education.
Through innovative teaching and research, she has both shaped adult education in Canada and influenced the field internationally.
She is a member of the Adult Education Hall of Fame, an honorary member of the UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning (UIL), and has twice received the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education (2013, 2016).

Call for Papers
We warmly invite you to submit proposals for the conference. In addition to proposals for individual contributions, we also request proposals for thematically focused panels with three or four interrelated contributions. In these thematically focused panels, an in-depth and particularly condensed exchange on specific aspects of the topic should be possible.
Submission deadline is April 1st 2021.
