This website provides relevant information on the research, teaching and further activities of our team. Our research concentrates on the functioning, performance and reform of democratic institutions. These particularly include elections and electoral systems, referendums and popular initiatives, party systems and party governments as well as federal and administrative structures, which we explore in historical and cross-national comparison.
