In principle, surveys in the Bundeswehr must be authorised by those departments in the BMVg that have been specified in regulation A-2710/1. Because it often makes sense to try out a survey method learnt during a course of study, the university itself may approve surveys that are to be carried out among students as part of term papers, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses. This is made possible by regulation A-1345/11.
