Dr. Jill A. Long, Colonel (U.S. Air Force, retired) holds a PhD in Political Science from Helmut Schmidt University, her dissertation von Clausewitz, Dr. Strangelove and Heisenberg — Creating Strategic Emergence for Gray Zone Conflict in the Quantum Age address the structural and cognitive gap between  National and International Security straits vision and agency/department level strategic planning.  Her research interests include strategic design, strategic leadership, hybrid warfare with an emphasis on cognitive warfare.  She holds masters in strategic studies and management and a bachelor in business administration.  An accomplished military and civilian aviator she was awarded the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars and has numerous combat deployments spanning from Air War over Kosovo to Operations Resolute Support (Afghanistan) and from tactical missions to combatant command staff.  She is  leading the organizational establishment of the Democratic Resilience Center and their International Fellows program. Dr. Long is also a senior professor of leadership with Norwich University.
