Thermal effects in single photon detection – characterization of optical filters and filter bank

Julian Dietz has artificially improved the energy resolution of a superconducting quantum detector by means of narrow-band optical filters and estimated the efficiency losses to be expected. The detector will later verify dark matter (axion-like particles) in the ALPS II experiment at DESY.
