Personal details
Daniel is a Civil Engineer and holds a master’s degree in Construction Materials from Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. He worked for 5 years in the concrete ready-mix industry and participated in several major infrastructure projects in Colombia. His areas of expertise are concrete design and production, aggregates, cement, supplementary cementitious materials and admixtures. Daniel joined the group of Construction Materials and Building Preservation in 2020 and he is working currently on sustainability issues of repairs measures on concrete members affected by reinforcement corrosion. His interests are construction materials sustainability, concrete service life modelling, life cycle assessment and circular economy.
