Personal details
Ahmad completed his Bachelor in Applied Chemistry at Damascus University in 2014. Afterwards, he was awarded a full scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and started his master studies at Christian Albrecht University of Kiel. During his Master program time, Ahmad joined the group of Synthesis and Real Structure as a student assistant and completed his Master thesis “Synthesis of Nanoparticles by Plasma-Liquid Interface” in the same research group. In 2020, he joined the group of Construction Materials and Building Preservation as Research Assistant under supervision of Prof. Sylvia Kessler, where he focuses on the corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel under service conditions, especially the combined chemical and mechanical attack, by electrochemical means of linear polarization resistance and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
