Hanna Pfeifer formerly worked as a researcher at the Professorhip of International Security and Conflict Studies. After a post-doc at the POLIS department of the University of Cambridge with a fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG), Hanna Pfeifer rejoined the Institute of International Politics of Helmut Schmidt University (HSU) as a research associate and teaching fellow in 2018. She earnt her PhD (summa cum laude) from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of HSU in 2017. Before coming to Hamburg, she worked as a research associate at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Magdeburg (2012-2016) and in the research and teaching project “Global Solidarity” at the Munich School of Philosophy (2011-2012). She studied Politics, Philosophy and Mathematics at the University of Munich (Ludwig Maximilians University, 2006-2012) and International Relations and Security at Sciences Po (IEP) Paris (2009-2010). Since July 2020, she is an assistant professor of political science with a special focus on radicalisation and violence research at Goethe University Frankfurt and the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt.
