Short Bio: Mandy holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology (major) and Psychology (minor) from Universität Hamburg (2008-2011). Afterwards, she earned a Master degree in Sociology with a specialization in “Labour, Work and Organization” and “Research methods” from Universität Hamburg aswell (2011-2013). During her studies, Mandy was a student assistant in the research project: “Flexibilität und Verfügbarkeit durch Arbeit auf Abruf (RUF)” at the IPA – Institute for Employment Relations and Labour at Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg UdBW (2010-2013). As a project member, she participated in the research project “Nachhaltig forschen und leben an der Universität Hamburg, Erhebung 2014 zur Arbeitssituation des akademischen Personals” on behalf of the academic staff council (WIPR) of Universität Hamburg (UKE excluded) (2012 – 2014). Since 2013, Mandy is part of the IPA team as a reseacher and doctoral student.
Cummulative Disseration (ongoing): Working conditions and strain by using the Effort-Reward Imbalance Model in different occupational fields (working titel).
Research focus: Impact of Labour, flexible working Time Models (On-Demand, On-Call & Standby-Service), job (dis-)satisfaction, Effort-Reward Imbalance Model
