This project grounds on an international collaboration of Angela Kornau and Barbara Sieben with Alain Klarsfeld, Rana Haq, Lena Knappert, Eddy Ng and Faith Ngunjiri to advance context-sensitive, international perspectives in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion. Researchers have criticized diversity management and diversity studies to be US-centred, monoculturally infused and biased (e.g., Jonsen et al., 2011; Nishii & Ozbilgin, 2007). In this project, we therefore pay special attention to so far less researched and often marginalized country contexts resulting in two co-edited Special Issues of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, published in 2019 and 2020 as well as the „Research handbook on new frontiers of equality and diversity at work. International perspectives“ (Edward Elgar, 2022).
