hpc.bw was represented at the first dtec.bw annual conference from 17.09.-18.09.2024 at UniBw M. The theme of the conference was ‘Research with added value for all dimensions,’ highlighting how the Armed Forces Centre for Digitalisation and Technology Research (dtec.bw) is jointly advancing research projects at both Bundeswehr universities UniBw M as well as HSU. Attendees from the Armed Forces, ministries, authorities, industry, and the start-up scene were present to learn about the research activities.
HPC was represented in the “Cyber” dimension. On one hand, there were comprehensive insights into project related research activities and performance engineering projects as well as information on the operation and utilisation of the HSUper. On the other hand, the HPC Portal was presented, and interactive learning and teaching material were showcased to acquire HPC competences. Projects of dual use, such as Submarine Design by Hybrid SciML and FEM HPC, as well as another dtec.bw project from the Chair of Computational Material Science, were also presented. The hpc.bw stand was complemented by exhibits such as a model of the Class 212 A submarine, a rack from the Magware supercomputer node, and a soft catch system developed in the field of Material Science.
