The professorship for geotechnics was founded in the year 2019 at the HSU and mainly concerns itself with the following topics:

• Numerical methods in geotechnics
• Subsoil dynamics (especially wave propagation and anelasticity)
• Digitalization in geotechnics
• Geotechnical (model) experimental investigations and soil mechanical description

Further the department of geotechnics possesses a very well-equipped soil mechanics and soil dynamics research laboratory, which will aid you in the pursuit of research as well as practical questions.
