Human-Vehicle-Interaction

Several simulators are available, starting with the quasi-static, visual simulator up to the simulator with a dynamichexapod motion system (eight degrees of freedom). Various examinations are carried out with these:

  • Physiological and mental stress when driving a vehicle
  • Control behavior of people when driving a vehicle
  • Influence of movement information on the direction of travel
  • Impairment of the driver’s reaction and control behavior due to fatigue, alcohol, medication or an abundance of information
  • Effects of extreme vibrations on people
  • Ergonomics in the vehicle interior
  • Visibility, as well as entry and exit conditions for special vehicles
  • Driving training on simulators

The driving simulators are controlled with real-time MBS software (CARSim), the visual environment is generated by SILAB.
