Human behavior is characterized by a high degree of goal-directedness and flexibility regarding changing task demands. The processes responsible for this are collectively referred to as Executive Functions. The work of our research group has focused on the optimization of stimulus-response translation processes to expected task demands, such as preparation for predictable task changes and adjustment to recently or frequently experienced conflicts in information processing.
- Human performance under multiple cognitive task requirements: From basic mechanisms to optimized task scheduling
(DFG-Projekt SPP1772) - Sensory, Post-Perceptual, and Hemisphere-Specific Adjustment to Conflict Stimulation
- Preparation of Task Processing/Cognitive Control in Response to Conflicting S-R Translation
