Konstantin Hondros studied sociology and theater-, film-, and media studies at the University of Vienna (Austria). In 2020, he received his PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen with a dissertation exploring the “liminal creativity” necessary to produce musical similarity in environments for commissioned music. During his PhD and his first post-doc, he worked for two subsequent DFG-funded projects exploring the role of intellectual property rights as well as alternatives thereof in organized creative processes in the music and pharmaceuticals industries. Since August 2024, he is a post-doc at the chair for Digital Governance and Service Design, at Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg.
