Researcher
Johannes Klassen is a researcher at the Chair of Vocational and Industrial Education. He studied Social Sciences, Law and Economics (B.A.) at the University of Erfurt and Political Theory (M.A.) at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Technical University of Darmstadt. During his studies, he spent an exchange semester at the Université de Paris-Sorbonne (IV) and worked as an intern at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt and at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. He received a PhD scholarship from the Cluster of Excellence “The Formation of Normative Orders” and defended his PhD summa cum laude at the Technical University of Darmstadt in February 2023.
His research focuses on the role of international organizations in vocational education and training, the politics of evaluation in international development, and the global governance of education and development.
