We are delighted to announce that our former colleague, Birte Caesar, has successfully passed her doctoral examination, which took place on July 15, 2024. In her dissertation titled „Reconfiguration Management for Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems“, supervised by Alexander Fay and Ina Schäfer, Birte has developed a framework to support and enable reconfigurations of technical systems during operation based on Digital Twins. In her time at the institute she has been a role model for many, demonstrating how to establish international partnerships and leading a research group.
