Studies on HRM and leadership try to develop a better understanding of how to deal with people in organizations. However, different perspectives are taken. While HRM research usually focuses on instruments, processes and systems, leadership research mainly looks at interpersonal dynamics. We want to bridge this gap by examining the interrelations between HRM and leadership. Thereby, we are focusing on people analytics and problem-oriented research: Together with international partners from research and practice, we analyze the contribution of HRM and leadership to corporate success and employee well-being. A specific aspect concerns the question of how HRM strategies and leadership behavior should be adapted in a working world that is characterized by digitalization and remote work (especially home office).
