Data and model reduction for multi-physics problems in complex geometries (Jan. 2022- Dec. 2024)
This is a subproject of the dtec.bw CTCentre Digital Tomography Center for Functional Composites.
It is dedicated to data reduction to improve an automated workflow from image acquisition in the CTCentre to calculation of key quantities using multiscale and multiphysics models. In this project, super-resolution GANs for composites are trained and used to increase the resolution of in-silico tomography and to image fine details of the composite structure at high resolution. In addition, model reduction techniques are applied in the context of electrochemical simulations.
